Cole Rise is a photographer, designer & maker. A Y-Combinator alum of 2006, he lead mobile design for on prototypes of the first iPhone, started a product foundry Particle with Justin Timberlake’s investment, where he designed products and interfaces for Amazon, Sony, Motorola and Google. Particle was acquired in 2013 by Apple. Responsible for Instagram’s original icon and filters, he built a massive audience on the platform, which lead to working with the top agencies, travel brands, and tourism boards around the world. In 2014 he founded Litely, one of the most popular photo filter apps currently available, and is a reoccurring tech & photography pundit on CNBC Squawk Street.
